Who are you, and what do you do?

I was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, and graduated from University of Tennessee with a degree in Enterprise Management. After, I spent two years traveling, primarily climbing in Switzerland and Austria, along with skiing in Utah and California.  I later moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee where I taught myself how to program while forming a company with two college friends. Currently I’m the CEO and Co-Founder of Ambition where I spend my time recruiting, setting product roadmaps, and doing whatever it takes to ensure employees are happy and the company is growing.

What forms of media have influenced you the most?

I read a lot, rarely without my Kindle, with a preference in historical non-fiction and autobiographies – big believer in learning from the past. Also a big fan of Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. I consume a lot of digital content as well – on a daily basis probably ten articles from Hacker News.

You’ll never find me walking or driving without music on. I like it in the background to let myself think. When it comes to movies, my annual Band of Brothers marathon comes to mind.

What hardware / software do you use?

Macbook Pro. I used to have a custom-built desktop for when I played computer games, but there’s no time for that anymore. Software-wise… always on Google Drive, Slack, Evernote, Spotify, SublimeText.

What would be your dream creative setup?

At my desk on a Saturday without distractions; it’s the only day I can actually remove more things from my checklist than add.
