James White

Who are you, and what do you do?

I’m James White and I play running back for the New England Patriots. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to play for such a historic franchise along-side so many great athletes like Rob Gronkowski, Tom Brady, and Darrelle Revis. I learn so much from their experience in the league.

What forms of media have influenced you the most?

In this day and age Twitter and Instagram are so big especially for athletes to sort of build their brand. Another big influence for me are all the superhero movies – Batman, Spiderman, etc… – and any movie with Kevin Hart in it.

What is your favorite gear?

I’m signed with Nike so they are by far my favorite. I have a huge collection of LeBron, Kobe, and Jordan shoes which is probably my favorite part about Nike. For all you sneaker-heads out there my prize pair that I love to rock are Retro Jordan 11’s with the Space Jam colorway.

What advice would you give to youngsters to get where you are today?

Stay in school because that’s where all the discipline and hard-work ethic starts. Most of all have fun…no matter what you do in life whether that’s sports, medicine, business, etc… Also, I’ve always had that instinct for competition to want to beat the guy next to me in sports and school.

What would be your dream creative setup?

It would definitely be in Florida – that’s home for me – probably somewhere by a beach that I could have all to myself. I would have to have someone there to help push me during workouts and training so I can get that extra burst to put me over the edge.
