Who are you, and what do you do?
My name is Laina Rauma. I’d like to think I’m a pretty cool bunny rabbit who designs and creates women’s clothing for my brand Laina Rauma.
What forms of media have influenced you the most?
Literally everything from movies to books to music videos…and things I don’t even realize I’m sure. Just sparks of creativity spewing from movies I watched as a teen or music videos I tried to re-create to as a pre-teen haha.
What hardware / software do you use?
Oh man, you’re talking to the least technologically savvy person who runs her entire business online. I use my Macbook Pro and my iPhone. My Dad does all my web design work and my friend Liz Rosa edits my photos. I just started trying to teach myself Photoshop but other than that, nada.
What would be your dream creative setup?
Ideal creative setting would be a large room with no walls, only windows. Glass walls. In a studio up high somewhere with lots of light and an amazing view – preferably of the water. My mind can wander off and I like to just sit and stare sometimes and let things happen. If I have music and lots of light, I’m golden. Oh and it has to smell amazing.
