Who are you, and what do you do?

I am Madison Malone, a 20-year old singer, songwriter, guitarist & pianist. The main thing to know about me is that I have a passion for taking all of the positivity that has been exemplified in my life, and spreading it to the public through truthful lyrics and soulful sounds. My style of music & the sounds I create are incredibly varied and miscellaneous. It is hard for me to pinpoint exactly what flows out of me because I am influenced by almost every genre of music & art form. For sake of categorization (which us humans tend to adore), I call my musical genre Soulful-Pop with Ambient sounds. I will strive to use music as a means to make the world a more enlightened, happy place for the rest of my life!

What forms of media have influenced you the most?

My interest in music spurns from my family’s involvement & passion for it. From a young age, I was singing out lyrics from artists like The Beatles & Princess Ariel. The world becomes much more vivid with music in it; that element is so enticing to me, it is what keeps my interest alive. That lesson alone is something my family made me aware of; they are the ones who introduced me to the captivating essences that music procures in the human soul. Although music is the main media that influences me, I find inspiration & reasons to grow as an individual when I read literature & see movie productions. These medias also inspire me because they are the product of the inner-workings of other artists’ minds. To see other peoples’ passions makes ME more passionate & intrigued.

What hardware / software do you use?

I just use my brain, my notebook and the piano. I know how to arrange music and write lyrics without a hardware or software! So a piano or guitar, my notebook and my brain are great enough for me!

What would be your dream creative setup?

My dream setup would be writing music under a HUGE willow tree during the day where I would then host a songwriting class for people of all ages in the afternoon under that same tree. To top off the day, I would host a concert under that willow tree at night with a different line-up featuring bands from all different locations in the world to showcase as many passionate people as possible in order share positivity & happiness for all!
