Who are you, and what do you do?
I am Megan Gabrielle and I am a few different things all at once. I am a model, a painter, a freelance graphic designer/retoucher and I dabble with music (singing and producing). I like to call myself a multimedia professional.
What forms of media have influenced you the most?
I read a lot when I was younger, but today it seems I’m mostly influenced by music and artwork. Whenever I need some inspiration for a project I instantly to log in to Soundcloud and Tumblr. Ambient music always gets me in the zone to think outside the box.
What hardware / software do you use?
For my visual projects, I use Adobe Creative Suite 6 (mostly Photoshop and Illustrator) and for my music stuff I’m still on good ol’ Garageband. When I paint I use acrylics on canvas.
What would be your dream creative setup?
My ideal creative setting would have to be back in Cape Town, in a small open house with a view of the ocean and mountains. I spent a lot of time modeling there during 2012 and 2014. I fell in love there, ate the most amazing food, met people from all over the world and experienced nature in a way I never dreamt of. The beauty of South Africa could keep me inspired forever.
